Wideband acoustic emission sensors, also known as broadband AE sensors, are designed to detect acoustic emission signals over a broad frequency range. Compared with resonant AE sensors, wideband sensors provide a wider and flatter frequency response, making them suitable for waveform analysis, frequency spectrum research, material testing, composite structure evaluation, and applications where the AE source frequency is uncertain or needs to be studied in detail.
These sensors are commonly used in laboratories, research projects, advanced signal analysis, and applications that require more complete waveform information rather than maximum sensitivity at a single resonant frequency.
